1. Information we handle

TerraMap is designed to work without an account. We do not ask for your name, payment details, or a profile to use the map viewer.

• World files: .wld files you choose are read and processed locally in your browser. They are not uploaded to TerraMap servers.
• Usage data: our Plausible Analytics installation records aggregate visit information such as pages viewed, referrer, browser, device type, and approximate country. It does not receive your world files.
• Browser preferences: TerraMap may store your language choice, whether an interface hint has been shown, and whether a language suggestion was dismissed in local or session storage.
• Technical logs and messages: hosting and security systems may process request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and time. If you contact us on X, we receive the information you include in that message.

2. How we use information

We use this information to provide and secure the site, remember useful interface choices, understand aggregate usage, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and respond to questions or feedback.

3. How we share information

We may make information available to service providers that operate hosting, content delivery, security, or analytics for TerraMap, only as needed to perform those services. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a transfer of the project. We do not sell personal information.

4. Analytics, cookies, and local storage

TerraMap uses a self-hosted Plausible Analytics script through plau.colorepistle.com. Plausible is configured for cookieless aggregate analytics. TerraMap uses browser local storage and session storage for the preferences described above; clearing site data removes them. Third-party links may apply their own cookies and policies after you leave TerraMap.

5. Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to operate and secure TerraMap, answer messages, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Browser preferences remain on your device until you clear them. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee complete security.

6. Your choices and rights

You can use the viewer without creating an account, clear TerraMap site data in your browser, use browser privacy controls, and choose not to contact us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information we hold. Contact us to make a request; we may need to verify it.

7. Third-party links and younger users

TerraMap links to services such as X, GitHub, and Terraria resources that have their own privacy practices. TerraMap is a general-audience game utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child sent us personal information, please contact us.

8. Changes and contact
