Viewer update

The map viewer now works around what you want to find

The redesigned viewer was completed on August 7. It keeps the map in focus while making search, navigation, and world controls easier to understand on desktop and mobile.

What changed

  • A branded task panel now sits beside a centered map, with zoom controls moved onto the canvas where they are easier to reach.
  • Name search now checks tiles, items, walls, and liquids together. Precise coordinates and expanded Common Finds cover Shimmer, Lava Charm, Sandstorm in a Bottle, Magic Conch, and more.
  • Mobile results stay visible on the map with previous and next controls; the task panel also supports focus handoff and Escape.
  • Loading, scanning, and highlighting messages now use all 10 supported languages instead of falling back to English.
  • Homepage uploads open in browse mode, while uploads from an item finder automatically search for that target.
  • A new localized About page introduces the project and provides a direct way to send questions or suggestions.

Finder and language

Shimmer finder and an optional language suggestion

Added a localized Shimmer finder that opens a .wld file and locates the Aether on the map. TerraMap can also suggest a matching language without redirecting automatically, while keeping the current page, query, and hash.

Rare-item finders

Aglet and Enchanted Sword finders

Added localized finder pages for Aglet and Enchanted Sword. Each page can pass its target into the map viewer after upload, and the homepage world-file entry was restored inside the main hero.

Seed maps

Seed 39914 loot maps

Added localized seed 39914 pages with Medium and Large world files, map previews, rare-item locations, and a direct path into the interactive viewer.

Homepage refresh

A new Terraria-inspired homepage

Refreshed the homepage with an original pixel-tree mark, a Terraria-inspired world scene, clearer world-file upload, and a layout designed for both desktop and mobile.

Main fix

Terraria 1.4.5 item search coverage

Fixed an issue where some Terraria 1.4.5 items could not be found. Search now falls back to the English item name when a localized name is unavailable.
